One key difference the VivoTab Note 8 has is a Wacom digital stylus that can register more than 1,000 levels of pressure sensitivity. The VivoTab Note 8 is also slightly more expensive than its peers in the store: Similar tablets from Toshiba, Dell and Lenovo are currently priced at $299 and recently were on sale for as low as $229. I’m not reading the lack of stock as a successful launch, mainly because we have no idea how much inventory Microsoft actually started with. Just hours after its initial availability, the VivoTab Note 8 shows as “out of stock” in the Microsoft(s msft) Store. The original price was slated to be $299, but the Windows 8.1 tablet launched on Microsoft’s online store for $329 on Monday, notes Engadget. The Sketch Pad and Screen Sketch apps are both best used with a pen and tablet.Announced at January’s Consumer Electronics Show, the Asus VivoTab Note 8 tablet is now available for sale.
Step 4: Select which app you want to use the Sticky Notes can be used without the pen and tablet.
Click it to open the Windows Ink Workspace panel. The button will appear in the system tray. Step 3: With the device connected and driver duly installed, right-click on the taskbar and select the ‘Show Windows Ink Workspace button’ option from the context menu. Here’s how to set it up. For this post we used a fairly old Wacom Bamboo pen and tablet and tested it out on Windows 10 Preview Build 14342. If you don’t have a touch screen laptop or a Surface tablet, you can still use Windows Ink with a regular pen and tablet connected to your laptop. You can use the feature to find more apps built to work with Windows Ink. The built-in apps feature post-it notes, a sketch pad, and a screen capture and annotation tool. The feature comes with three special apps that work with a digital pen and is meant for touchscreen laptops or tablets. Windows Ink is an exciting new feature coming to Windows 10 in the Anniversary Update.
